It’s all change at Ellis Lloyd Jones

Moving to our new offices Richard Ellis March 18th, 2015

Well, what can I say; we don’t do things by halves here at Ellis Lloyd Jones. This week sees us moving to our new offices and launching our new website.

The office move is the result of months of planning and hard work and we’re delighted with the outcome. We hope you will be too!

The building, at 11 Park Square, is grade II listed and used to be the RAF club. It is located in a preservation area of Newport and we are all looking forward to joining our new community. It’s also, pretty much, slap bang in the middle of town which, is great for clients but also seems to be making our staff very happy too (I think the new Friars Walk shopping development nearby might have something to do with that).

In summary, the new building offers:

•   Better office and client meeting facilities;
•   Ample client parking;
•   Close proximity to the city centre;
•   Easy access to the bus and train station;
•   Disabled access;
•   And, most importantly, a lovely environment for our staff and clients!

We’ll be sad to leave Alan House on the Handpost. The firm has been based there for some 30 years and we all have very fond memories. We’ll also miss the people and businesses in the area who we’ve grown to love. In particular, Meiriel with her lovely sandwiches and Becky in that café who’s done a sterling job of keeping our staff fed and caffeinated. Don’t worry, we’ll be back to visit.

We’d like to thank Lloyds Bank, Rubin Lewis O’Brien and M4 properties for their help in making the move happen. Faced with very tight timeframes, they all performed excellently!

The new website has now also gone live, thanks to our friends at Wonder Marketing. The new site sees a drastic simplification on our previous offering. Our objective was to make it as clear and simple to navigate as possible. I hope we’ve achieved this.

The site is also far more focused on delivering to the needs of clients and visitors. Gone are the thousands of pages of unread tax information, replaced by a simplified client focused content.

Over the coming weeks and months we will be rolling out further service enhancements in tandem with the website, all of which, we hope, will improve our client service. We’ll update you on these developments soon.
